I tend to understand and memorize things through physical movement. In most cases I learn better when practical work is engaged thoroughly. I prefer taking random breaks in order to be active when studying. I easily acquire excessive information delivered orally by my lecturers. I use mnemonics and inculcate them by heart to help me remember what I have learned. I don’t read out loud.

The following attributes assisted me to study effectively.

  •  Punctuality, I respect time a lot.

  • Attentive listening skills. I don't ignore lecturers and tutors.

  • Group discussions.

  • Seeking for additional information from various books and other sources.

  • I always ask for clarity where I misunderstand.

  • I visualize the image of what I'm reading about.

My strength is my ability to acquire excessive information in a short period of time. Brilliance is my second name since I study without making notes and still pass with outstanding marks. That shows my quality of having extraordinary mental capacity. My strength is that I understand easily, hardly forget and I simply adjust to lecturers’ various method of lecturing. I am utterly determined and dedicated to my studies.

My weaknesses are: laziness, tediousness and fatigue. I compromise. For instance, I can spend hours trying to make a friend understands whereas I’m left behind.

My challenges

  • Adjusting to various methods of learning.

  • Adapting to independent learning

  • Dealing with absolute workload in a short period.

  • Getting to understand and distinguish different assessment types.

  • Understanding the grade structure.

  • Having to spend most contact hours with lectures and tutors.

I prefer studying during the night because disturbances are very low, study and understand before I indulge in group discussions and to invite God before I can do anything pertaining to my academics.
